missingWrote a review on Nov 03good breakfastcentral locationfriendly staffinconsistent cleaningunexpected parking fees
During my 8-night stay, I appreciated the good breakfast options each morning, although it got a bit repetitive towards the end. The location was very central, providing quick access to attractions like the V&A Waterfront, but I found the cleaning service inconsistent. On multiple occasions, I had to go without towels and toiletries, which was frustrating. It would also be helpful if guests were informed about parking fees upfront.

I appreciated the spacious and clean rooms, and the friendly staff that went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The hotel also offers easy access to the V&A Waterfront via a convenient shuttle service, making it perfect for seniors.
Room noise could be reduced for better comfort.

I enjoyed my stay at Southern Sun. The breakfast selection impressed me, especially the omelet station. While the room service could have been quicker, the location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. A great experience that I would happily recommend.

missingWrote a review on Sept 14outdoor poolconvenient locationin-room dining
Convenient location near the waterfront made exploring the area easy without the need for long commutes. The outdoor pool area offered a nice escape from the bustling city, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventures.
In-room dining ends at 10 PM, a notable oversight for late arrivals who might expect more flexibility—a rarity among local hotels. I faced issues with the parking fees, which cost R50 per day, along with slow shuttle service. one trip left me and my children behind in the rain, which was less than ideal. The phone in my room didn’t work, leading to multiple trips to reception for assistance, and general reception wait times could use improvement for a faster check-in experience.

A coffee machine to remember
Each morning began with a delightful breakfast and the warmest service from the staff. The atmosphere buzzed with friendly chatter, making it a joy to start the day.
However, the coffee machine struggled to keep up during busy times, and I often found myself waiting longer than expected for a simple cup of coffee.

A decent stay for solo travelers
The breakfast buffet offered plenty of delicious choices, with the ladies at the egg station, especially Mary Jane and Xoliswa, greeting you with warm smiles and serving those omelets with a touch of love. The hotel had good-sized and cozy rooms, making me feel right at home during my solo visit.
It wasn’t cheap but it was still acceptable considering the comfort I found.

We had an amazing time exploring the nearby Waterfront, where my granddaughter loved watching the boats and enjoying ice cream. The breakfast staff treated us like family, preparing delicious meals and always greeted us with smiles, making each morning special.
For dads, it would be great to have late-night snack options readily available for famished families.
